Safety is a gate, not one more scored dimension. A cross-cutting EHS screen runs on every manufacturing engagement, even when no concern is expected, because a material safety finding can override an otherwise favorable operational read. The floor observation covers visible unsafe activity, traffic management, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout practice. Environmental permits, workers' compensation history, incident trends, and remediation exposure are named explicitly and routed to specialist confirmatory workstreams: stated as edges of the read, never quietly assumed away.

Do you need to shut the line down to assess it?
No. The floor observation is non-intrusive: server and network room walkthroughs, plant-floor segmentation checks, machine connectivity review, and passive OT asset discovery. We do not perform active probing of live PLCs or safety-instrumented systems.
How does safety factor into the score?
Safety sits above the scored dimensions as a confirmatory gate. A material finding can override an otherwise favorable read. We screen it on the floor and route environmental, workers' compensation, and remediation matters to specialist confirmatory workstreams, named explicitly rather than assumed away.
Can you cover a multi-plant footprint before close?
We scope the priority plant for the on-site assessment and screen the remaining sites through operating data and management interviews, with full site validation sequenced post-close. Footprint-consolidation synergies stay excluded from the base case until the remaining plants are validated.
