Crescent Capital Advisors· Technology

Your business is already telling you where it is stuck. The question is whether anyone is acting on the signals.

This is the technology and operations practice for founders and owners who are not running a sale process: you are running a company, and you can feel that technology, data, and execution are capping how fast it can grow. An operator who has held the CTO and CISO seats through a full company lifecycle helps you find exactly where the ceiling is, priced in dollars and weeks, then builds the systems that lift it.

Outcomes we have reported, not promised.

60% cost reduction

Cloud infrastructure, at petabyte scale

3 months → 8 hours

Customer onboarding, compressed

Org-wide SOC 2 Type II

Across all six business functions

30% productivity gain

Engineering, AI-enabled modernization

You can feel the ceiling before you can name it.

Growth is harder than it should be. Every new customer or product takes longer to onboard than the last. The team is busy, but the busyness looks more like firefighting than building. You are making technology and AI decisions you are not sure about, on data you do not fully trust. None of it is on fire, so none of it makes the priority list, and that is exactly why it compounds. The signals are already in the business. Most owners are just too close, and too busy, to act on them.

Not a consultant who studied it. An operator who has run the number.

The difference is whose seat this advice comes from. This practice is led by an operator who has held the CTO and CISO roles through a full company lifecycle (engineering, security, IT, and operations) and carried the P&L, not just the deck. So the read you get is a short list, not a maturity grade: where technology and execution are capping enterprise value, what each constraint is costing, and the one or two moves that change the number fastest. The work starts with a read and only continues if it earns its keep.

See where technology is capping the business.

Not sure where to start?

Run the Enterprise Debt Index first.

Twelve questions. About ten minutes. The Enterprise Debt Index scores the four debts that quietly cap your growth (data, technology, process, talent) and names the one that binds. Founder-led with no sponsor? Every debt you carry is EBITDA you do not keep, and a discount a future buyer will apply.

Run the Index

Then go deeper on your seat. Each of these is a short, structured self-assessment built from the same frameworks used inside engagements. You answer honestly, and you end on what it is costing and the first move worth making, in about ten minutes, whether or not we ever speak.

Before you book the call.

I am not selling the company. Is this still for me?
Yes. Most of this work has nothing to do with a transaction. It is about accelerating a business you intend to keep. The same lens that a buyer would use to find risk is the lens that finds where you are leaving growth and margin on the table today.
How is this different from a consultant or an agency?
A consultant hands you a strategy and leaves. An agency builds what you spec and bills the hours. This is an operator who has run the technology organization and the P&L, so the read is what to do and why it moves the number. And if we build, we build systems your team owns and runs, with no lock-in.
I already have a team, or a CTO. Where does this fit?
It makes them better. An outside operator read gives your team an honest baseline and a prioritized plan they can execute against, and can add fractional CTO, CISO, or AI leadership where a full-time hire is not yet warranted. We extend the team. We do not replace it or talk over it.
What if the honest answer is that I do not need you?
Then we say so early. The diagnostic and the first read are useful on their own, and if the work is not worth doing or we are not the right team to do it, you will hear that plainly. And where we can, a pointer to who is.

Send a few lines about where it feels stuck.

No pitch deck and no sales funnel. Tell us what the business is trying to do next and where technology or execution is getting in the way. You will get an honest read on whether this is worth a conversation. And if it is not, we will say so.
